right turn on Bowers rd. for about a mile then first left is Piney creek Rd Left on Piney Creek Rd. be careful here – the road is barely wide enough for 2 cars – I tend to pull over and let the oncoming vehicles pass. Just after the almost empty dairy farm (about 500 meters after the intersection) go down a slight hill and cross a narrow short bridge – turn right into our drive (if you end up in the narrow road in the woods – you went by the driveway – There are mail boxes here including a yellow one- ours) Our drive – there are mail boxes on the right side of the lane – we are 1 km down the drive – the 3rd farm. Please keep the speed down to 10-12 mph and careful around the blind bend – second farm. Please on the side of the barn -there is a retaining wall there – – start to drive past the Red Barn and pull into the drive (trash cans maybe there) Please use the middle door – we do not lock. Also, we have hard wood floors so ask that outdoor shoes stay at the mat inside. You may want to bring flippies /slippers for inside. And, please no rolling luggage. The wood is soft! PARKING – since you will have three, maybe 4 cars – you should all fit in the space to the left of the barn front doors – there is an open garage. There is also space by the wood shed. Use the middle door – it will be open since we do not lock, though there is a key the kitchen if you choose to lock when going out.

The land behind Odd Fellows Cemetery is where the fire is thought to have started. In this area, the effects of the fire can be clearly seen in the scorched earth and the plant life that has survived there.
