From the parking lot, cross Big Pine Road toward the Climbing and Rappelling area. Do not follow the first bridle trail you see. Cross the footbridge over Big Pine Creek and you will see a registration kiosk for those who are climbing. At the kiosk, follow the bridle trail to the left and that will take you to the rock after some climbing. I believe the distance from the parking lot is about three-fourths mile. The Table Top Rock can be a little hard to find even when you are in the vicinity because it is actually below a small cliff. As you climb up the bridle trail, you will eventually come to a relatively flat plateau at the top of a ridge. You will see a number of hitching posts for horses. When you reach that point, go to the edge of the cliff and look down and you will see the Table Rock. It isn’t small, just somewhat hidden and below where you will be standing.
