You have to arrive at the UN entrance (1st Ave. & 45th St.) 1 hour prior to your tour time to pass the security area.

Security pass needed to enter UNHQ.  First go across the street from the UN to the Visitors Check-in Office at 801 First Avenue (Corner of 45^th Street) before going through UN Security Screening and entering the UN.

The United Nations Visitors Entrance is at 46th Street and 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

We recommend the use of public transportation as the United Nations Headquarters does not offer parking facilities.

  Numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, or S trains to Grand Central Station; walk east on 42nd Street to 1st Avenue
